5 ways to improve your sustainability

Improving our sustainability as a nation is much like the weather at the moment, an increasingly hot (and important) topic! At Crussh, we’re working hard to improve our sustainability as a business (you can find out more about that here) but there are also some improvements we can all be making as individuals. Here are a few ideas to get you started…

Reuse, reuse & reuse again!
Invest in a reusable cup, you’ll make a saving in the long run! Lots of stores (including us) are now offering a discount on coffee when you use a reusable coffee cup. PLUS, we’ve just extended our 25p reusable cup saving to smoothies and juices too (YAY!). You’ll be reducing waste AND saving pennies, it’s a win win!

Resell & donate
Having a clear out? Before you reach for the bin bags consider reselling or donating your unwanted items. As the saying goes, ‘one man’s trash is another man’s treasure’!

Drink from the tap
Approximately 5.5 billion plastic bottles end up in landfill each year in the UK. Drinking from the tap or refilling your bottle is one way to help reduce this number. If you’re popping by one of our stores and running low on water, our team will be more than happy to fill your bottle back up from the tap!

Recycle
It goes without saying we should be recycling whenever we can, however knowing what and how to recycle can be confusing! Get clued up on the ins and outs of recycling over at www.recyclenow.com.

Walk, cycle or hop on public transport
Leave the car at home and hop on the bus, train or better yet cycle to help do your bit to reduce car emissions. If you’re lucky enough to live close to the office, walking has to be the most sustainable (and cheapest) method of transport.
