about us

1998. Back before the Euro was born, when Bill Clinton was engaging in questionable activity in the White House and Titanic was the big movie hit. This was when James Learmond came up with the crackpot idea to open a ‘Juice Bar’ on London’s Cornhill, bringing hits of raw juice, smoothies and fit food to stressed out city workers; Crussh fit food & juice bars was born.

Nearly 20 years on and we’re still juicing, squeezing & blending like we used to back then, as well as bringing the latest healthy food trends to the high streets of London.

Crussh on…Juicing

Life is better with juice. Fact. It’s one of the best way to get all those vitamins, minerals and nutrients we often lack when living our crazy London lives.

HOW?

In a nutshell, juicing raw fruit & veg extracts the pulp and fibre and releases all the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to create a lovely liquid. When you drink it, all the goodness is absorbed really quickly, straight into your bloodstream, as it doesn’t need to be broken down and digested in the same way as food does. Instant goodness.

Now, while we don’t promise instant beauty or eternal life, regularly drinking raw fruit & veg does help. We’ve all been juicing at Crussh now for years (since 1998 in fact), and people say we’ve barely aged a day.

Happy juicing!

Crussh on…Sustainability

Minimising our impact on the world around us is key to everything we do at Crussh and always has been. Here’s our top 5…

  • 1 Minimal waste

We work hard to minimise all our waste, and we are the first sizeable chain to partner with ‘Too Good to Go’ to fight food waste. We’ve got lots more to do, but the fight is on!

  • 3 London markets

We don’t use large scale distributors and buy from the London markets.

  • 5 Passionate about produce

We create long-term partnerships with suppliers who are passionate about the produce they grow, rear and fish.

  • 2 British produce

We use British produce wherever we can, and we deliver products to you on foot when you order with us.

  • 4 Class two fruit & veg

We are proud to use class two fruit and veg for juicing – it might be a little wonky and funny looking for supermarket shelves but it tastes great.

    Crussh on…people

We make great juice, smoothies and fit food, but it is from the energy and enthusiasm of our teams that our success is driven. We are powered by these mighty people, and we think we have some of the best in the business. If you’re looking for a great lifestyle and want to join our crusade to make the world a healthier and tastier place, then look no further.

    • Each store has a dedicated Team Member Trainer that is trained in the art of training.
    • Our team members are made to do ginger or wheatgrass shots as forfeits for losing bets …even our gambling is healthy!
    • Wellness sessions are run once a month with different themes whether it’s nutrition, baking or knitting!
    • Crussh has two staff parties per year – Summer & Winter, a great excuse for us to get together!

    • Shane KavanaghChief Executive
The big boss, coffee connoisseur and proud Irishman. In a previous life he spent all his time sampling croissants and cakes but now knocks back the ginger shots like they’re going out of fashion. Favourite juice? Turmeric Tonic, he’s a proper juicer nowadays.

    • Rowan GroblerFinance Director
Apart from crunching numbers, Rowan also loves his chocolate; but that’s OK as he’s also a semi-professional mountain biker. (for real) Known for his inventive smoothie ideas, he’s normally drinking a concoction with blueberries, almond & avocado.

    • Helen JonesHead Of Marketing
Not only does Helen oversee all our brand communication, she’s also the resident office baker of delicious healthy goods. One of her classics is her sweet potato & cacao brownies! Always sipping on a Veggie Greens.

    • Nick NathanOperations Director
Nick is a trained chef & a long suffering West Ham fan. When he’s not managing the kitchens, supply chain or ordering new fridges, he’s cooking himself something tasty to compensate for the Hammers losing.

    • Ben TyrerHead Of People
Ben does lots of talking to lots of our lovely people. After working in cocktail bars for many years he’s also the man in charge of organising the Crussh parties and nights out! His fave Crussh smoothie? Pineapple Pleasure! He says it reminds him of a Pina Colada!

    • Laura ArmstrongHead Of Design
In a nutshell, Laura makes things look pretty. From designing our marketing campaigns to our new store designs, she’s got it covered. She also has a slight sugar addiction which we’re trying to wean her off of by getting her drinking a green juice a day!

    • Angi FeketeStore Training Manager
Angi trains all our new team members and teaches our people how to do things the Crussh way. She’s a keen cook and loves uploading her healthy and Gluten Free concoctions onto her Instagram. #AngiCooksGoodStuff
