Crussh of the Month: Naturally Peachy
Crussh of the Month: Naturally Peachy
Every month we’ll be interviewing an individual who we just can’t take our eyes off. We’ll get the low down on their fave places to eat, work out and explore London.
This month we sat down with the lovely ladies behind the Naturally Peachy blog, Lottie & Caroline and here's what happened...
Hi Lottie, Hi Caroline, tell us a little bit about yourselves?
Lottie is our beauty product junkie and knows her hyaluronic from her jojoba. Getting ready to walk up the aisle later this year means that searching for the best organic, natural products has gone into overdrive. A coffee and juicing lover who loves anything sparkly.
Caroline loves a sweaty HIIT class, exploring new cities, adventures in little aeroplanes and cooking anything with lots of chilli, whilst alo trying to do her bit to be an eco-chick!
We met working in the city six years ago and have been best friends ever since, sharing a love for beauty, wellness, travel and exploring the amazing city that we live in.
When & how did the Naturally Peachy blog start and what is it all about...
We started Naturally Peachy about six months ago as a way of sharing how we manage a busy working life in the city with trying to stay healthy and 'balanced’ - whatever that may be. Naturally Peachy is packed with our favourite places to eat, top gym classes and best natural beauty finds as well as interviews with amazing women. Lottie was diagnosed with a chronic nervous system condition, CRPS, four years ago which left her unable to walk at times. She shares her rehab journey and learnings on the blog while she is going through recovery, as a lot of this has useful and beneficial aspects for everyone. We should all be looking after our nervous system a lot better! This part of the blog is focused on mind and body and is very much the foundation of our holistic approach to feeling the very best version of yourself.
We are also passionate about working with and interviewing inspirational women and showcasing small start-up businesses and brands that we love that have the same ethos as Naturally Peachy. Whether that be their ethical stance to running a business, a holistic approach to wellness or showing how hard work and determination can get you anywhere you want to go!
Tell us which gyms and/or classes you’re absolutely loving at the mo?
Caroline is the gym bunny of the two of us and is a die-hard 1Rebel Reshape queen, but also likes to mix it up with Barry's Bootcamp and HIIT training as well as trying out new fitness classes & pop-ups to share on the blog (especially if there's a goodie bag to be had!) We also love relaxing together with some Yoga, be it covered in flourescent paint whilst doing Vinyasa or practicing Qigong, which we have recently started, a mixture of Tai Chi and Yoga and is incredible for boosting your energy and strength.
What would we find you snacking on during the day and cooking up during the evening?
Dark chocolate always! We are big chocoholics! We often have our spoon in a tub of almond butter too! We love cooking up roast chicken at the start of the week and adding it to frittatas, salads or stir fry during the week. We find if we have healthy food in the fridge that is easy to grab and go we are less likely to reach for the choc quite as much! We love making big colorful salads full of everything in the fridge with sweet potatoes, which are always a staple for a quick delicious mid-week meal.
Which other blog pages do you follow?
We follow so many for all different reasons! ...we are massive fans of the lovely supermodel turned nutritionist, Rosemary Ferguson who has just been featured on our blog - we love her down to earth and sensible approach to nutrition. Her blog is definitely worth checking out. We have recently got more involved with the National Soil Association and their Organic Beauty Week which is so inspiring, so we are always checking their webpage to see what they are up to. Chris James is such an inspiring man whose blog is incredible for when you want to get some inspiration or tips on how to reset body and mind. We also love Amy Neville Fashion Diaries for some retail therapy too! Lots of sparkly, gorgeous clothes, although not sure how our bank balance feels about this one!
Where is your dream holiday destination & why?
Every Monday morning, we are always day dreaming of being whisked off to a tropical island in the sun where you can drink fresh coconuts and listen to the sound of the waves! We love exploring new places and having adventures and experiencing new cultures.
What are your top tips for staying healthy & happy?
Listening to your body and put yourself first when you need to! This doesn't mean being selfish at all, in-fact it’s the opposite. When you give yourself what you need, be that rest, exercise or a cup of tea and slice of cake, you will feel better equipped to be a better friend, girlfriend, employee and face whatever the day throws at you. You should never feel guilty for taking time out every day to do something that makes you feel good.
What is your fave item from the Crussh menu?
Being big falafel fans, we can’t get enough go the ‘Vitality Super Salad Box’ - although all the salad boxes are delicious - this one is gorgeous and summery with the hummus and mint flavor. For a post gym fix, the Chicken Protein Healthpot is great on the side too! Crussh also do THE best turmeric latte we have ever tasted…and we have tried our fair share!
